Abstract

Children face several intersectional barriers in accessing education, stemming from socio-economic, cultural and political factors. These barriers often intersect and intensify, creating complex challenges for children who come from marginalized and disadvantaged backgrounds.

However, the conceptual framework of intersectionality has received limited attention in the study of children’s vulnerability. This research aims to intersect anti-discrimination law, in particular the concept of intersectionality, with children’s rights, more specifically the right to education, considering the simultaneous interactions between the various identity markers in children.
